父亲节是六月的第几个星期天英文(父亲节是哪一天6月的第二个星期日)

The third Sunday of June is Father’s Day in many countries. It is the day to celebrate fatherhood and make the first heroes of our life feel special. It is the day to honor their contributions to individual families as well as society.

Fathers, like mothers, are pillars (支柱) in the development of children’s life. Even from birth, children who have an involved father are more likely to be emotionally secure, be confident to explore their surroundings and as they grow older, have better social connections.

Children with involved, caring fathers also have better educational outcomes. The influence of a father’s involvement extends into adolescence and young adulthood. Numerous studies find that an active and nurturing style of parenting from fathers is associated with better verbal skills, intellectual functioning and academic achievement among adolescents.

Fathers influence how we have relationships with people as we grow. The way a father treats his child influences how he or she looks on other people. The patterns a father sets in the relationships with others can predict how his child relates with other people.

Young girls depend on their fathers for security and emotional support. A father shows his daughter what a good relationship with a man is like. If a girl has a father who is involved and respectful for her mother, she expects that behavior of all men.

Unlike girls who model their relationships with others based on their fathers’ character, boys model themselves after their fathers’ character. Boys seek approval from their fathers from a very young age. As human beings, we grow up by imitating the behavior of those around us; that’s how we learn to function in the world. If a father is caring and treats others with respect, the young boy will grow up much the same.

On this year’s Father’s Day, it’s important to recognize and reward fathers for being there and actively teaching important life lessons to us. And it’s meaningful for both fathers and us when we say “Thanks, Dad. I love you!”
